One day nature walks
|
Unique walking suitable for nature lovers.
Fit, Unfit and Elderly person.
Start early morning. What you learn and gain from hiking. See nature in
details. I take you down on a local trail through farm land and paddy
field,
man- made irrigation system, forests, creek and river. I spot well
camouflage animals, insects birds, flying frogs, flying lizards, flying
snake, sweat bees colony, pray mantis, stick insect, bush crickets and
grass hoppers, butterflies, beetles, water scorpions.
BIRDS: In the area you would see, Bulbuls, Leaf Birds, Purple Sunbird,
Flowerpeckers, Magpie-robin, White-rumped Shama, Asian
Paradise-flycatcher,
Indian Roller, Woodpeckers, Minivets, Wagtails, Greater Coucal,
Green-billed
Molkoha, Birds of prey like owls, falcons, hawks, etc.
EDIBLE AND POISONOUS PLANTS: Herbs. such as forest ferns, Riverside

2 days 1 night, Nature Walks and mountains lover programs.
ITINERARY.
DAY 01: In the morning we come to pick you up at your hotel. Car takes
us
out of human civilization into the glories of Forests and Mountains
area, up
hill along curve dirt road very steep in places. We stop at viewpoint
you
wonder about how beautiful landscape in this area, you stand on
mountain’s
slope, you see below in valley the morning fog is slowly rising up, you
breath fresh mountains air. Car delivers us from a short drive about 20
km
from town. Here we start our walking, we depends on foot climb up steep
slope about 1 hour to the ridge. You found that not easy to push
yourself
plus your backpack up hill. Time to be patience and learn about us. You
grain and learn about nature in detail. We are hiking on high land
evergreen
forest. Mountain’s trees in the area you pass through. Such as: Oaks,
Chestnuts, Shorea, Dillenia, Hopea, Dipterocarps, Black Vanish, Pines,
White
Heather, Figs, phyllanthus emblica, Etc. Up on trees and cliff you see
epiphyte plants, like Wild Orchids, Bird Nest Ferns, Stage Horn Ferns,
Dischidea, Club Mosses and Lichens. Forest floor plants, Ferns, Arum,
Amorphophallus, Begonia, Gentians, Gingers, Etc. Late afternoon arrive
at
village Ban Hua Nam, place where we stay overnight, home stay with
Karen
family.
You can relax, go to wash, and walks around, and learn about local
culture.
My porters and I are preparing delicious Thai meal for you. The menu
would
be. Thai spicy soup such as, Tom Yam, Red curry, Green Curry, chicken
in
coconut cream soup. Sweat and sour fish, Fried chicken with ginger,
Grilled
egg plant salad, etc. Dessert, coffee and tea. Enjoy dinner in
candlelight.
DAY 02: Morning local life start very early here. Rooster call at 4 am
in
the morning.
People woke up to pound rice, cook and get to work in their fields.
Under
the house there are pigs and chicken are running around. After you got
your
good breakfast. We are starting our second day hike. This day we hike
down
hill.
Passing through farmland, terrace paddy fields. Local trail led you
down to
evergreen ravine forest, at the bottom we hike along creek, you walk
through
water, and there will be many rivers cross. You need a pair of good
hiking
sandals. Experience walking through water you will find it fun. See
waterfalls, gorges, Cliffs. Along creek you wonder about, giant Bamboo.
Teak
Wood Tree. Rose Wood Tree. Dipterocarp tree.
Giant lianas. Figs. Rose Apple Tree. Rambai tree. Bread fruit Tree.
Wild
banana. Riverside plant arums, ferns, forrestea. Mushroom and Fungi.
Afternoon we got out of creek arrive at terrace rice field in low land
valley, see man made irrigation dam and it canals system. You will be
finished the treks and a car take you back Maehongson.
We offer special services. My porters and I would love to take good
care of
you. You don’t have to carry much in your backpack. My porters will
carry
all foods and other stuff. I will bring with me a pair of binoculars to
see
the views and spot the birds, also a magnify glass to see the details
of
small plants and creatures, There are many birds, butterflies, insects
and
beetles that I knew and will inform you about their nature and history.
I
hope that this is the best way to see the country.
This is Conservative and Eco walks. We are trying not to harm animals
and
plants. We do not kill snake and hunt for an endanger animals. You can
help
me to safe some wild orchids and it easy way to do. I show you how,
when we
see some orchid that fell off from the tree. We can replace them back
on
tree truck or any suitable place on tree’s branch or on rock. This is
an
epiphyte orchid can grow only on tree and rock. They would be dies when
fell
of tree. You can grow your own orchid. I helped many orchids per trek.
I had
safe many orchids along the trails I been. Some time I saw my flower
and it
made me very happy. I think this is one of the best ways to help nature
and
that you gain happiness and also gain merit.

JUNGLE SPIRITS 3, 3 days 2 nights program.
ITINERARY
DAY 0. You must arrive one day early, to get acquainted with your guide
and
do an equipment check. Visit Mae Hong Son town. Enjoy dinner and have a
good
night's rest. [If you want I can arrange accommodation in Mae Hong Son
for
you and include this in the total price.]
DAY 1. 9.00 am. Car pick up. Short drive. We start walking along a
local
hill tribe trail. A very narrow and rough trail, leading down to the
Mae
Hong Son creek. We hike through the creek, deep gorges, ravine, and
forest.
We walk through water several time. There are many rivers to cross. You
will
get your feet wet, and will find it a very nice experience. Enjoy a
picnic
lunch on the river side. In the afternoon, continue hiking through
luxuries
evergreen jungle. See massive climbing lianas, green bamboo stems,
rattan
palms, creeping plants such as Philodendron and Vanilla, and
undergrowth
plants, Wild Gingers, Ferns, Begonias, Arrowroot, Arum, etc. Ascending
to
Karen farmland, we see slash-and-burn rice fields. Pass through
terraced
paddy fields. Arrive in Ban Hua Nam for a home stay with a Karen
family.
Learn about their culture. Guide and porters prepare delicious Thai
meals.
Enjoy dinner by candlelight.
DAY 2. Cock-a-doodle-doo!!!. When you wake up in the morning, pigs are
running around under the house and people are setting off to work in
the
fields. Time for a good breakfast of hot tea, coffee, toast, pancakes,
fruit
salad, eggs, fresh juice. Before leaving we take a walk around the
village,
visit the primary school, then start the hike again. On the trail you
can
hear gibbons' enchanting song from far off on the hill side, or you may
see
them swinging from tree to tree. There are many birds, too--you need a
pair
of binoculars to spot them. We pass a small village on the way, where
we
stop for a tea break, and you can people-watch. Lunch in the forest:
you get
your food wrapped in banana leaves. This time it's fried noodles. We
make
bamboo chopsticks and a bamboo cup for you. (Everything is bamboo. We
can
make fireworks in a bamboo stem!) After lunch, you can take it along
with
you, to use again or to take home as a souvenir. In the afternoon we
climb a
bigger mountain with a beautiful view. Arrive in Ban Huai Po, a village
settled on high elevation in evergreen forest. Stay the night in the
village. Enjoy dinner. You can see the people's simple way of life,
under
the brilliant night sky. I could tell you some of the constellations.
Get a
good night's rest.
DAY 3. After breakfast, we start ascending one hour to the mountain
top,
walking along a ridge. I know the mountain jungle well and can point
out
things you would otherwise miss. You see the diversity of flora and
fauna in
the seasonal forest of Thailand. On high land you see mountain Cycad
trees,
Palms, Pines, Oaks and Chestnuts, members of the Erica family, Wild
Orchids,
etc. We eat lunch on a place with a panoramic view. You can sit on the
ground, and I provide you with a plastic sheet to sit on. We climb down
to
Nam Hu creek. At the bottom of the hill we hike through the creek--time
to
cool down your feet! You can stop to swim in the river. We finish our
trek
and the car takes us back to town.
This is a medium hard walk program suitable for nature lover. People
who
wanted to learn about nature, Cultures, and the walking for botanical,
birds, insects, and butterflies.
People who wanted to have plenty of time to spend in the forest and in
village, to be with people with no rush.

JUNGLE SPIRIT 4. 
Forest camping and Village home stay. 4 days 3 nights adventure and nature walks.
DAY ONE, We pick you up at airport, or at your hotel. Car transport up
to
mountain 20 km from Maehongson. Start travel on foot first place is
going up
hill for 1 hour then walking on flatter land along mountain ridge and
slope
take about 3-4 hours walk, on the way you see spectacular view of
mountains
landscape. You walking through hill evergreen forests, there are Oak,
chestnut, Pine, Cycad, Dillenia, Buahinia, smell the fragrant flowers
and
trees and the Mountains fresh air. Evening arrive to forest camp a
place to
stay the night where you could enjoy the silent evening. A good place
to sit
on porch to watch the nature around. My porters and I will prepare Thai
Meals with fresh ingredients cook on an open fire. You will stay in a
wooden
and part of bamboo hut with thatch roof. You will have basic
comfortable for
the sleeping you will have mats,
Mosquito net, sleeping bags, and pillow. Simple toilet and separate
shower
room with running water from bamboo stem. In the evening sit around the
fire, enjoy dinner by candlelight.
DAY TWO, Start walking at late morning, walking down on local trail to
dense
evergreen jungle. This day you would study and see many more of
different of
kind of trees, emergent trees, canopy, understory, and forest floor
plants
and also the massive lianas, I would inform you their names and their
life
history. We could also discover some animals in the area birds,
insects,
beetle, frogs, lizards and some snakes. Afternoon arrived at a Karen
village. We have private home-stay for you with Karen family. You stay
in a
house on the second floor with large balcony to see the mountain’s
scenery
around the house.
Night-light this is a good place to watch the Moon and the Stars.
DAY THREE, This is a day of leisure, you could should what you wish to
do.
Reading, painting, woodcarving. Doing more walking to explore the area.
Visit to school, teaching, Helping school’s children about their
organic
vegetable growing, students grow their own vegetable to cook and eat
for
lunch. Can visit farmland to watch or help local people for their
farming.
Stay overnight in village home-stay.
DAY FOUR, After you got your good breakfast. We are starting our last
day
hike. This day we will hike down hill.

hiking

Treks Program 5 days 4 nights.
DAY ONE: Morning pick up at hotel. 4x4-car drive up mountains to high
land
forests. See spectacular view. One of the most beautiful place in
Thailand.
Rough road passing through Karen territory Ban Nam Hu, Ban Huai Hii,
Ban
Nong Khao, Ban Huai Mai Dam. We can stop to visit villagers in some of
the
villages. Stop for our picnic lunch at the nicest place. Afternoon we
start
walking to Ban Hua Ha(Moe hill tribe) This day trekking will be little
short
day walks, afternoon arrive to Ban Hua Ha, spend the night in village.
DAY TWO: Morning wake up early feel the cool mountain air when heavy
morning
fog, get good breakfast. We start long walking climb up hills to higher
land. This day you will see different view of landscape and we will
hike
through hill evergreen forest. Visit to Lisu village Ban Nam Yen.
Afternoon
hike to Ban Doi Makprik(Other Lisu people) Spend the night with Lisu
people.
Learn about their culture.
DAY THREE: After good breakfast. We will walks down hills along rough
and
bushy local trail, to visit Karen village Ban Pa Ka. Get in touch with
local
people and long stop for lunch break in village. Afternoon start nice
an
easy walking. See slash and burn rice fields. Today we will stay in
Karen
village at Ban Huai Pom Fart. Learn about Karen people and their
culture.
DAY FOUR: Today we will climb up hills again to Doi Sa ngo. Passing
through
watershed forests where sources of many creeks. See several different
types
of forests, hill evergreen, jungle, Pine, palms and bamboo forests. At
the
saddle passage see massive sedimentary rock formation and will be the
place
we will have our lunch.
Afternoon walking down to Ban Hua Nam (where Maehongson river begin)
this
day there are many hills to climb up and many steep slope to climb
down, on
a very interesting trail and lots of thing to see along the way.
Afternoon
arrive to village. Stay overnight in Ban Hua Nam with Karen people.
DAY FIVE: After you got your good breakfast. We are starting our last
day
hike. This day we hike down hill.

Program 6 days trekking, Mae Hong Son To Pai.
Itinerary:
DAY ZERO: Clients must arrive in Mae Hong Son one day early, to get
acquainted with the guide and do an equipment check. Visit to Mae Hong
Son
town, good dinner and a good night's rest.
DAY ONE: In the morning, have a good breakfast. The car transports us
to the
trekking place. We begin by walking along the Mae Hong Son river
valley,
following a local trail: a small, rough foot path leading up and down.
Mae
Hong Son creek is a charming mountain stream. You will see many deep
gorges,
waterfalls, high cliffs, and many pockets of dense ravine forest. We
have to
walk through water many times, getting our feet wet, which is a good
experience. Lunch break on a big rock at the river side. You can stop
to
swim in the river any time. In the afternoon, we walk to Karen farmland
area. See slash-and-burn rice fields and terraced paddy fields. Arrive
in
Ban Hua Nam. Visit with local people and home stay with Karen family.
Guide
and porters prepare good Thai meals for you. Dinner by candlelight.
DAY TWO: Early morning refreshments: hot coffee, hot tea, fresh fruit
juice,
toast, eggs and fruit salad. Leave early in the morning, heading to Ban
Huai
Pomfat. Big climb up the mountain Doi Sa Ngo, along a very small local
trail, through dense bamboo forest. Up, up, way up the hill to Tiger
Pass.
See massive rock formations, Oak and Chestnut forest, Cycad tree
forest,
many epiphytic plants such as Wild Orchid, Ferns, Aeschynanthus, Mosses
and
Lichens. Lunch on the highland trail, feel cool air and take a break in
the
wonderful view. Food is wrapped in banana leaves, drink hot tea or
coffee in

afternoon,
arrive in Ban Huai Pomfat--enough walking for the day! Meet friendly
people
in the village. You will see that they welcome your arrival and love to
get
in touch with visitors. Stay overnight in the village, guide and
porters do
the cooking.
DAY THREE: After breakfast, another day of climbing up and down on the
mountain highland--more up than down. Pass through Karen village Ban
Pakar,
take a break in the village, see people and their way of life. Picnic
lunch
on the trail. Climb higher through the mountain landscape. See
panoramic
views. Pass through Lisu farmland area. In the past time, some poppy
was
cultivated in this area for it opium trade. Today, there is still a bit
of
poppy growing, but other crops include rice, potatoes, beans, taro
root,
ginger are introduced and growing instead of poppy. etc. Arrive in Ban
Doi
Makprik, visit to Lisu people, learn about Lisu culture. Spend the
night in
the village.
DAY FOUR: This day we could start a little bit late, as there is a
shorter
distance to walk, and it is the day of climbing down the mountain. Some
places are very steep. After breakfast, climb down to the Pai river
bottom,
half-day hike through dense forest on the old short-cut trail between
MHS-PAI. Camping on Pai river’s bank at Huai Pong Klang Pai meet with
Pai
river. You can swim in the river. We will make a camp fire, and cook
our
food in bamboo stems, eat from bamboo bowls, drink from bamboo cups.
Spend
overnight in the wilderness.
DAY FIVE: Enjoy morning and get our breakfast on the river side. We
travel
up along Huai Pong Klang Pai creek through remote wilderness area. We
walk
through water many times, all day walking in the ravine forest. There
are
many beautiful waterfalls, high cliffs, caves, giant bamboo forests,
Teak
trees, Rosewoods, Cork trees, Dipterocarpus trees. At lunch time you
can
swim in the Five-Star swimming hole. Arrive in Ban Patong, where we end
our
long day walking. Enjoy dinner and a good night's rest.
DAY SIX: This is the last day trekking. Late morning get ready to walk
to
Ban Pam Bok, about 17 km along man-made rough road, from dry deciduous
forest to hill evergreen forest on the other side of the mountain,
afternoon
descending from evergreen forest at the east side of the mountain in
the Pai
valley to the land of garlic. Get transport from Ban Pam Bok the place
where
we end our long hike. Evening arrive in Pai, get a good comfortable
room.
Dinner celebration and enjoy the good-by party together.
I can arrange private transport to Chiang Mai. Or tourists can take
local
bus by themselves.
This is a harder walking program suitable for nature lover. People who
wanted to learn about nature, Cultures, and the walking for botanical,
birds, insects, and butterflies.
People who wanted to have plenty of time to spend in the forest and in
village, to be with people with no rush.
